On October 22, 2011, the Union of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences organized an autumn outing to Red-leave Ridge in Badaling National Forest Park in the suburb of Beijing. More than 60 faculty members and their families took part in the outing, and they were from the Departments of Chinese Language and Literature, History, and Philosophy, and Institute of Science, Technology & Society, Institute of Economics, and International Center for Chinese Language and Culture and the Administration of SHSS.
