In the morning of December 10, 2010, Professor Janet Hartley, the Pro Director for Teaching and Learning at the London School of Economics and Political Science gave a talk titled "The Time of Empire: Russia 1762–1825" in the Tsinghua History Seminar. About 50 teachers and students from the departments of History, and Foreign Languages and Literatures, attended the seminar.
