Hawaii DOT, Oahu – Keehi Interchange and H-3 Highway 1979-91, over 5000 splices 16 ½" octagonal and 20" sq. used in 3 segment 270 ft. and 5 segment 170 ft. piles (1981-84). Second major project.

Hawaii DOT, Kauai – Pier 3, 600 – 20" octagonal splices for 200 ft., 2 segment piles.

Naaru Tower, Honolulu – 800 – 16 ½" octagonal for high capacity 11 strand piles.

FDOT MAX BREWER BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, Titusville, Florida Intercoastal Waterway DESIGN-BUILD BY THE LANE CONSTRUCTION CORP. 36" Sq. w/28-.6 strand voided piles with full moment and tension capacities req'd for splice: T= 1625 K, M= 1844 K-ft. TOP PHOTO shows bottom segment with Female splice end driven to 115 ft. and top pile segment being lowered into place. TOP RIGHT PHOTO shows complete splice with 4 lock bars inserted. Boxes at top and bottm of splice are Electronic Data Collector connections. BOTTOM RIGHT PHOTO shows two test piles spliced and ready to be driven to specified depths.
